Awards Night 2007 Scholarships Royal High School Scholarships – At the May 17th, 2007 Awards Night, four Royal High School students were selected to receive $1,000 scholarships: Jessica Lynn Davis (represented by her Dad), Courtney Ivy, Cesar Robledo, Jr., and Logan Taylor Smith. Last year, Elise Dawson, Michael Wahoski, Alyssa McCue, and Courtney Wilder were awarded the scholarships in the programs first year. Awards Night Presentor, Pastor Brad Morgan, served as the coordinator for the program on behalf of L.C. Orrick Outreach for a second year. and is shown here making the presentation. The board owes Pastor Morgan a very big thank you for his dedication to this exciting program. After the applications were received a group was convened representing both the Board of L.C. Who We Are… As a Non- Profit Corporation On October 17, 1979, L. C. Orrick Outreach, Inc. was chartered as a Non-profit corporation which is chartered for religious purposes under section 501 ( c ) ( 3 ) of the Internal Revenue Code. Our founder, Rev. L.C. Orrick, operated the corporation as a vehicle for placing his religious program called The Hour of Hope on many radio stations across Texas. At his death on February 15, 2002, the remaining officers of the corporation not only kept his program on the air, but also began to develop plans to build KQLC-LP, a low power FM radio station for which he had made application before his death, and to offer scholarships to college students. We're so happy to have Skip Miller working with us as our Community Relations and Technical Consultant. Skip goes a great job keeping our equipment up to speed so that the sounds of music, as well as the broadcasts in the studio and on remote locations sound great. Skip brings not only technical skill to his work, but brings a pastor's heart to our ministry with you. Meet our Resident Audio and Video Consultant, Steve Stone. It's great to have Steve nearby so that we can take advantage of his incredible background in media, particularly audio and video production. He has years of experice in "running the sound board" in services of worship and special productions, and he is invaluable to us as we move into producing more radio spots and training volunteers to do live radio shows.
